ORIGIN

Origin - Nangang, Taipei | Single Estate Tea

Ucia teas are sourced from carefully selected single estates across the diverse mountain landscapes of Taiwan. Each garden is chosen not for its name, but for its ecological integrity, elevation, and micro-climate precision.

We study the land in detail — altitude, soil composition, mist patterns, seasonal airflow, and humidity balance. Only environments capable of nurturing complexity, resilience, and aromatic depth are selected.

Every tea remains true to its own estate. We do not blend across regions. Each harvest expresses a singular landscape, shaped by its own rhythm of light, air, and time.

Through natural farming in pristine, pollution-free surroundings, the ecosystem is preserved in its purest form. No pesticides. No synthetic fertilisers. Only living soil, skilled hands, and patience.

The result is Single Estate Tea defined by:

  • Authentic terroir expression
  • Natural clarity and structure
  • Layered complexity developed through slow growth
  • Complete traceability from garden to cup

One estate.
One ecosystem.
One uncompromised standard.

Presentation

For those who select the Grand Tea Trilogy, a special presentation box is prepared using traditional Taiwanese paulownia wood—lightweight, resilient, and naturally aromatic. This wood, long treasured in East Asian craftsmanship, offers both protection and symbolism: refinement, longevity, and quiet strength.

Embellished directly onto the wooden cover is the Chinese character for “Time” (時間).

Time shapes the mountains.
Time deepens the roots.
Time refines the leaf.

The engraving is not decorative—it is a philosophy. Each box becomes a vessel not only for tea, but for patience, maturation, and memory.

The tactile warmth of paulownia wood, the subtle grain patterns unique to each piece, and the understated engraving together create a presentation that reflects the tea itself: natural, intentional, and enduring.

A gift not only of flavour—
but of time preserved.

HANDMADE PURITY

True flavour requires no intervention. Ucia represents the pinnacle of Taiwanese wild tea—grown in harmony with the ecosystem and picked by skilled hands in the untouched mountains of Taiwan.

Rooted deep within ancient forests, each tea tree thrives without pesticides, fertilisers, or human interference. The leaves draw nourishment directly from mineral-rich soil, mountain mist, and shifting seasonal light. Every harvest is guided by intuition and experience—carefully selected at the precise moment when aroma, texture, and vitality converge.

What emerges in the cup is not merely tea but landscape transformed into flavour:

  • The clarity of high mountain air
  • The depth of forest earth
  • The quiet rhythm of passing seasons

Unaltered. Untamed. Uncompromisingly pure.
